Pittsburgh’s very own Working Breed delivers a one-of-a-kind theatrical art‑rock experience—merging evocative storytelling, genre-bending rhythms, and cinematic flair with instruments like musical saw, trombone, synth, and even brainwave audio. Expect passionate live performance, emotional bursts, and irresistible sing-along moments.

About the Band:

Formed under the leadership of Erika June Christina Laing (vocals, saw, trombone, synth) and Michael Dugan (guitar, vocals), the current lineup includes Jake Churton (bass) and Nick Tolkacevic (drums, percussion).

Their sophomore LP, Gaslighter, balances cathartic pop, dynamic math‑rock rhythms, and theatrical live presence—closing with emotionally resonant, energizing tracks.

On their debut concept album Hieroglyphica, they explored eclectic instrumentation and storytelling—drawing from natural elements, science-inspired field recordings, and musical theatrics, producing a richly textured listening experience.

  1. Heard your group on a rebroadcast (from back in September) of SLB’s(Saturday Light Brigade) archives out of Pittsburgh, PA over their online broadcast… FANTASTIC! Look forward to hearing more of your music in future… the vocals and instrumentation blends and harmonies I could listen to constantly. Please consider traveling up north to play in several venues.
    BTW – my family now lives near Portland, ME moving up from Pittsburgh.

    Amazing performance at Millvale Music Festival! Your show was the one to see. I loved the tracks of Gaslighter. Heard there is going to be a vinyl release party for the new album- when and where? Looking forward to seeing ya all again!

Also the band Melt will join us, and the video artist plus singer-songwriter Treasure will also be there to delight and expand your horizons.
